2009 European Vacation
August 2013
Last trip of the summer before school’s back in session. We let the kids bring a pal this time, so Luce the Spruce Goose and Jamie joined us for end-of-summer frolicking. Since they were new to Chicago, we re-visited some of the tourist hot spots (Navy Pier, Field/Shedd/Adler, Willis Tower, water taxi, etc.). We had a ton of fun with this gang!

When we first got involved with J. Brooks Coffee, the first order of business was to find a roaster. We were able to locate a very lightly used Diedrich…in Montana! So, John and I flew to Spokane, drove over the hill and landed in the beautiful town of Polson on the southern tip of Flathead Lake. (This journey took us through Coeur d’Alene, ID which is a stunning little corner of the Earth). [Follow @JBrooksCoffee] Read more
Friends in India
We couldn’t do what we do with Arpana without committed and loving friends. Amrik, Matti, Raji, and Gurmeet are simply the best. And if I had to wage war for the hearts and minds of the planet, the first round draft picks are Houston, Hannah, and Kamal. Read more
